The Journey To Founding A Magazine

rural rockstar Jul 14, 2021

This weeks chat is with the amazingly talented, Kimberly Furness - founder of OAK Magazine. Speaking to people who's values are so aligned with all the things I love makes for some fabulous content and this podcast is absolutely oozing with it.

The epitome of a rural rockstar, Kimberly's magazine centres around supporting, celebrating and connecting women in business in regional and rural Australia.
It didn't all just fall in her lap though. Kimberly worked hard to get where she is today, starting from very humble beginnings, as the work experience kids at the local newspaper in her hometown of Bendigo. Accompanied by this stint (and a saucy letter in high school that saw her marching into detention), Kimberly realised her love (and natural knack) for storytelling.

Now a mother to four beautiful children, Kimberly is a successful business woman who manages to juggle the mum and work balance like a boss.

This chat was so easy and natural, I could have kept at it all day long. An absolute pleasure to bring this to you - enjoy!
